ABOUT ABOUT

All ADF&G Approved Northern Alaska Waters; Weigh In @Tanana Lakes Recreation Area

The much anticipated Big Catch Classic, the Fairbanks Fishing Derby & BBQ, is a great annual family event hosted by the Interior Alaska Building Association. Anglers may enter their catch from all ADF&G Approved Northern Alaska waters, see the 2016 regs! We'll also host on-site fishing and Weigh-in at the Tanana Lakes Recreation Area.

Tickets include participation in the IABA's BIG CATCH CLASSIC, BBQ dinner, a chance to win door prizes, and good ol' fashioned fun in the summer sun. You may also donate your catch to the Fairbanks Food Bank at our weigh station ~ after all, you're a Sportsman Against Hunger! Transfer of Possession forms will be available on-site.

This year, we are also accepting Remote Derby Entries for certain prizes via Facebook to allow our anglers to venture out of town to their favorite fishing holes. Scroll down to learn more.

Prizes range from trophies and door prizes to Pelican coolers and sweet new gear! Several Tanana & Cushman fish will be tagged by ADF&G for cash prizes.

On-site or Remote Anglers, join us and get your FISH ON!
